In a detailed note, Shaandilyaa, along with Super Cassettes Industries Pvt. Ltd., Balaji Motion Pictures, and Wakaoo Films, apologized for using characters and dialogues from Maddock Films' Stree franchise without permission.
The statement acknowledged the infringement and expressed regret for any harm caused to Maddock Films. The filmmakers assured that they are taking immediate action to remove the infringing content from Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Vala Video by October 15, 2024, and promised that no such incident would occur in the future.
They clarified that their film is not associated with the Stree franchise and made no claims to any intellectual property rights connected to Stree or Stree 2.
